Get to know the photographer
Emily Brown
I am a graduate of Murray State University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Sciences, minoring in Unmanned Aerial Systems, as well as a Master's of Science in Agriculture.
After a career in crop-spraying and learning from some of the best drone pilots in Illinois, I came back to Kentucky to use my commercial UAS license for photography.

On my father's side of the family, there was a focus on the transportation side of agriculture, as he comes from a long line of tow boat captains. His family also raised goats and he eventually got into horses as an adult. He introduced the love for equine to my sisters and I as children.
On the other hand, my mother's family was focused towards livestock, vegetable, and fruit farming. My grandfather, James Curnel, was one of my largest incluences was known for is swine farm and educating the youth about meat production. He encouraged my education and after his passing, I dedicated my bachelor's degree to him.
I've always loved taking photos and painting, but I didn't weigh in heavily to photography until college. Unmanned Aerial Systems reintroduced that love to me.
